Our Mission
Engaging Programs and Initiatives Committee (EPIC) strives to enhance Student Centers’ vision for providing rich opportunities that enable student success and create well rounded student-centered experiences. We are committed to the learning and teaching of student employees, as well as fostering a culture that is energetic and engaging for students. Through meaningful experiences and vibrant programming, EPIC helps shape a dynamic campus life where every student feels connected and empowered.
Previous EPIC Events
RALLY AT THE COURT
Homecoming Rally at the Court is a high-energy kickoff to Homecoming Week at George Mason University, bringing students together to celebrate Patriot Pride. In the past, the event has featured live music from The Green Machine, performances by the Masonettes and GMU Cheer Team, appearances from the men’s basketball team, Homecoming banner voting, fashion shows, and more.
NINTENDO NIGHT
Nintendo Night brings together gamers of all skill levels for an evening of classic and modern Nintendo fun. Hosted in collaboration with GMU Esports, the event offers a welcoming space to play, compete, and connect with fellow students who share a love for gaming.
HALLOWEEK
During the week of Halloween, Student Centers hosts Halloweek, a series of themed events celebrating the season. The week features activities such as a costume contest, pumpkin carving, the Halloween Spooktacular at the Corner Pocket, and the Graveyard Smash concert series, giving students fun and festive ways to celebrate Halloween on campus.
MOVIE NIGHTS
Student Centers launched its Outdoor Movie Night series with a free campus screening of Toy Story, celebrating the film’s 30th anniversary. Students gathered outdoors to relax with friends, enjoy the nostalgic classic, and experience a fun, community-centered movie night under the stars.
CREATING COMMUNITY
The Student Centers Creating Community Showcase featured presentations and kiosk opportunities for Registered Student Organizations to promote their organization and recruit interested members for networking and engagement.
