The College Union
The role of the college union is traditionally described as the living room of campus. Distinct from conventional office environments, operating within a student center involves adopting the dynamic atmosphere of a communal building. Student Centers provides amenities such as event venues, study areas, lounge space, dining options, vending machines, retail stores, and a game room as added benefits for the Mason Community to make us of and enjoy.
Student Centers
The Johnson Center, Student Union Building I (SUB I), and The Hub cultivate opportunities to build community, foster collaboration, and encourage student engagement. Within the Student Centers department, there are five functional areas. These areas include Building Services, Central Office, Event Services, Marketing, and The Corner Pocket. Collectively, the department collaborates to create a holistic experience for students, staff, faculty, and patrons.

Student Centers is Committed to:
- Developing and hosting a variety of on-campus events and programs designed for the contemporary student.
- Upkeeping and enhancing the physical spaces of the three Student Centers buildings through general maintenance and work order completion.
- Providing games and activities for the George Mason community to navigate work-life-school balance in a vibrant setting.
- Creating memorable experiences through event planning, management and support.
