ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Individual George Mason University students may reserve kiosk tables located inside and outside the Johnson Center, Student Union Building I (SUB I), and The Hub free of charge to complete authorized academic project work.
For Assistance:
Academic Project Kiosk Guidelines
⬥ Reservations must be made at least two business days prior to the desired start date.
⬥ Kiosks may only be reserved for a maximum of four hours per day.
⬥ The academic project work must be for a class the requestor is currently enrolled in.
⬥ Students must submit documentation to prove the kiosk is being used to fulfill the requirements of a class project.
⬥ As documentation, students may submit their syllabus which features the project description, a professor issued set of instructions for the project, or an email from the professor explaining the project.
⬥ The collection of funds is not allowed for academic project use.
⬥ Availability of space is not guaranteed. Reservations are based on availability of unreserved space.
⬥ Students are responsible for adhering to all Academic Project Kiosk Guidelines above and the Kiosk Guidelines for All Users. Failure to adhere to all kiosk guidelines will result in the termination of the reservation, with the potential of future loss of kiosk privileges.
Need Help With Your Kiosk?
If you arrive for your kiosk reservation and find that another organization, department, or individual is set up at your assigned kiosk, please call Student Centers at 703-993-2921 or visit us in Johnson Center room 324 to resolve the issue. Do not set up at a different kiosk without speaking with us.
Cancellation and No-Show Procedures
Individuals should contact Student Centers prior to their reservation start date with their intent to cancel or reschedule their reservation. Rescheduling reservations is based on availability of unreserved space. Failure to show up for a reservation is considered a no-show. Multiple no-shows will lead to a loss of kiosk privileges for the current or following semester.
