How to Submit a School Dude Work Order

The School Dude System

This work order system is called School Dude and has been used by the university for several years. We are consolidating several work order forms into this one.

Effective June 1, 2018, the current work order form will be discontinued and replaced with the following procedures. Students, faculty, and staff can submit work orders.

Please follow these instructions to successfully use the work order system.

How to Submit a Work Order

Use the on-line work order reporting form. This work order system is called School Dude and has been used by the university for several years. We are consolidating several work order forms into this one.

Step 1: To use the on-line form, you must first create an account in the system. This is a simple process. Enter your name and other identifying information. If you already have an account and the system idenfies you, you can proceed. If you are new to the system, in the field labeled Account Number, type in 198557072.

Step 2. Location: If the issue you wish to report is in the Johnson Center, The Hub, or SUB I, please select Zone 5 as the location. If your issue is in Ike’s, Southside, or The Globe, please select Zone 4. If your issue is in Research Hall, Merten Hall, or another academic building, please select Zone 3.

Step 3. Select problem type. The “craft” is the skill set needed to correct the problem.

Step 4. State the Problem and give As much detail as you can.

Step 5. The purpose designates whether you wish the problem to be corrected or withheld until a cost and time estimate can be obtained.

Step 6. Estimate a completion date.

Step 7. Include any images, memos, history or other documents that would help provide the right level of detail in digital form. Note: Two pages maximum.

Step 8. For the Submittal Password, type in gmu123.

After Hours and Weekends
After 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and all hours Saturday and Sunday, your work order will likely not be handled until the next business day.
