Akeno Sushi Comes to Mason!

Akeno Sushi is ready to serve customers in SUB I!

Alongside the JC Atrium renovation, which brought new dining options and a face-lift to the JC, another new restaurant has set up shop in SUB I: Akeno Sushi. That name may seem familiar to returning Mason students. That’s because Akeno Sushi products are sold in Mason’s convenience stores like One Stop, Express, and 2nd Stop. Now they’ve set up a storefront in Taco Bell’s old spot, right next to Chick-fil-A!

Mexican-food fans may be sad to see Taco Bell go, but sushi-lovers are sure to be pleased that Akeno has come to Mason. Akeno offers a variety of tasty Japanese cuisine like sushi, vegetarian sushi, udon soup, ramen, and bubble tea! All food is prepared fresh in their kitchen every day, so you can be sure you’re getting great quality.

Akeno Sushi accepts meal plans, Mason Money, cash, and credit cards, making it the perfect place to grab some genuine Japanese food between classes. Akeno is open Monday through Thursday 11 am – 5 pm, Friday 11 am – 3 pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Go check out Akeno Sushi on the 1st floor of SUB I the next time you get a sushi craving!
