Dewberry Renovations

Dewberry Hall is one of the most popular event spaces on campus, housing many exciting events every semester. We always try to keep our facilities looking their best to provide the Mason Community with excellent event services. This semester, we’ve given Dewberry Hall a makeover!

Student Centers made about $25,000’s worth of renovations to the event space, including…

  • Added black trim to the walls
  • Painted the columns and touched up the walls
  • Replaced older lights with new ones
  • Refinished the floor
  • Polished, refurbished, and replaced the floor receptacle covers
  • Replaced bulbs in the ceiling lighting fixtures
  • Installed new wood thresholds in the floor

Before You Go: Prepare Your Space for Winter Break

As You Leave for Winter Break…

…help The Mason Community reduce our energy use by taking the time to ensure these few simple tasks are done before heading off to your well deserved break.

Pull The Plug

Please turn off and unplug anything that uses electricity around your workstation and in your office.

“Phantom loads” add up fast and can account for almost 10 percent of energy use per year! Unplug things like:

  • Power strips
  • Computers/monitors/printers/fax and copy machines
  • Coffee makers, refrigerators, microwaves and space heaters
  • Task lighting (such as desk lamps)

New Meal Plan Adjustments for Students in Spring 2017!

Your Mason ID is the key to dining on campus!

The Mason Card Office has made some changes to their meal plans for spring 2017.

One of the biggest changes is the implementation of new and improved voluntary meal plans for off-campus students or resident students with access to a kitchen. Starting in spring, the three optional meal plan options will offer more meals for the overall price than in previous semesters. The Green & Gold plan, which gave students 20 meals for $180 will now give students 25 meals for the same price. The Patriot plan used to give students 40 meals for $360, but students can now get 55 meals for that price. The Super Patriot plan, which previously gave students 60 meals for $540, will now give students 85 meals for the same price. These meals also come with bonus dollars for students to use at retail locations on campus.

The other meal plan packages for resident students are still available, like Independence meal plans which allows students unlimited access to the dining halls plus bonus dollars.

For more information about meal plans for the spring semester, visit the Mason ID office on the first floor of SUB I or by visiting them online at http://masonid.gmu.edu/fall-2016spring-2017-student-meal-plans/
